Shattaline lamps were born from an accidental discovery by a retired Army Major, Lewen Tugwell in the 1960's. While experimenting with sculptures using polyester resin in a mould, he increased the hardening catalyst to rapidly set and crack the resin inside the outer mould to create the signature 'cracked ice' aesthetic. 

This glorious lamp, made in Italy by Prova, comes with the option of an original spun fibreglass lampshade. The rare cone shaded lamp base has been rewired with an updated fitting and twisted cord cable.

  • Full lamp measures: H 43cm x Dia 15.5cm
  • Shade measures: H 26.5cm (10") x Dia 15cm (6”)
  • Base (to top of bulb holder) measures: H 25cm x Dia 7.5cm
  • BC bulb fitting with switched bulb holder
  • Rewired with a beige braided flex
  • As a true retro product the item may show minor signs of wear in keeping with age, all retro homeware offered is deemed to be in very good condition.
  • The Prova made fibreglass lampshade is manufactured in sheets and rolled so it has a light seem at the join. The top section has a small 'step' where it is cut a little offline (see photos).

Delivery Options

We offer a standard UK shipping service which will take 2-5 working days. We also offer an express UK shipping service which will take 1-2 days.

We ship worldwide. Delivery costs will be calculated at the checkout and vary depending on location.

The majority of our orders are handled by Royal Mail and UPS couriers.

Recycled Boxes & Packaging

We use recycled cardboard boxes and packaging materials for packaging the majority of our orders. We keep all good boxes received by suppliers and ensure they are reused where possible, and we’ll recycle all the rest of them – this hugely reduces the amount of waste produced.

Returns

Its OK if you change your mind, we offer a 28-days returns policy, from the day you placed your order. Goods reported and returned in 14 days are eligible for a refund. Goods reported and returned after 14 days, but before 28 days, still qualify for either an exchange or credit note. 

Please contact us should you wish to return your order for further details.

The delivery charge on the original order is non-refundable and at this time we do not offer a free post service on returned items.
